Guide and Virtual Tour of Channel Islands: Gorey Bay.
Panorama | Review | Map
Gorey We found Gorey quite enchanting. It is a bustling little seaside town, nestling at the bottom of a cliff, complete with castle. Here, there are pubs, shops and cafes and a thriving local fishing industry.
It is also picturesque - we overheard some children remarking that it looked like Balamory!
There is a lovely, sandy beach to the south of Gorey, called Grouville. This is sandy and has a good range of water-sports, such as water skiing, banana boats and canoeing. Swimming is safe here, but the tide goes out a long way. Car parking isn't too easy at Gorey itself, although the beach at Grouville has a huge carpark.
