La Greve Au Lancon
We visited this beautiful headland at the north western point of the island, when we visited the racing at Les Landes. A rather expensive betting day, but what a fantastic place to watch horses go backwards! An old ruined castle adds to the atmosphere and we loved the acres of purple heather which was in bloom in mid August, when we visited. From here, there are spectacular views to the neighbouring channel islands.
