Portlet Bay
One of our two favourite beaches on the island (see Beauport), this gorgeous beach can only be reached on foot, along a lovely wooded path down from the car park. It's quiet, sandy and sheltered. There are the remains of what was once a cafe and toilet, but no man made facilities at all. Lovely.

It's a hard climb back up the hill to the car park, but luckily The Old Portelet Inn is right there to meet your needs.
