Green Island
This is a long, flat, sandy, beach with a little green island which you can walk out to at low tide. The island has a great public notice, which warns you that you may be cut off when the tide comes in. It gives advice in this eventuality: "wait for low tide"! You've got to laugh...
As on many Jersey beaches, there are some rock pools to explore and a free car park and public toilets. The beach cafe has a very good reputation for sea food - so book in advance, or use the little kiosk. I must say, we would have been put off the restaurants as the beach had a particularly strong sewer-type whiff. Not the best way to tempt your appetite.
